Picked one up during a previous sale. Happy with the size and brightness and included 18650 battery helps make this a decent deal.

How long do these take to ship? I ordered mine like 3 days ago and haven't seen any shipping updates. Just says awaiting shipment.
They ship from China. Friday was a national holiday over there, so it will likely ship today.
UPDATE: They just sent this email to their customer list. Sounds like your order may ship this Friday:

"Due to the Chinese National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, we will temporarily suspend email responses. Orders will resume shipping on October 3rd, and email responses will begin on October 7th. Thank you for your understanding!"

Thanks for the insight. This is my first "nice" flashlight so I'm very excited to get it

No problem - the FC11C a very good "gateway" light. I just got a green 5000k model in the mail today, which I'll be gifting to someone.
Couple quick tips since it's your first:
  1. When you get it, unscrew the tailcap and remove the paper tab that's sitting on top of the battery. They insert these at the factory so the light doesn't accidentally turn on during transit.
  2. High-powered lights are shipped with the battery about 50% charged. Make sure you charge it up before using it, so that you get full juice. If you have an external charger, full charge will be 4.2 volts. If you don't, just plug it into a USB charger and wait for the button to turn green. Then you're good to go.
  3. While it's charging, read the user manual. This light has a simple UI, but you do have two mode groups to choose from: "Stepped" and "Ramping". It comes with Stepped as the default setting. (I prefer Ramping.) It's easy to change - just hold the button for a few seconds until it blinks. Now you're in ramping. Try them both and see which you like.
  4. If you leave the light on it's highest setting (turbo / 1200 lumens), the head of the light will start to get hot after a few minutes. (There's even a warning on the side.) Don't panic; this is very normal. The driver in this particular model prevents it from getting too hot, and it will automatically lower the brightness when it gets to that point. That's actually one of the reasons why we recommend this one as a starter light so often. (A lot of lights don't do that, and can become dangerous if not handled properly.)
Enjoy it. And when you start looking for your next one (which will happen), here are a few others I recommend a lot:
  • Wurkkos TS23 (21700 throwy flooder)
  • Sofirn SC33 (21700 throwy flooder)
  • Acebeam Pokelit (14500 pocket EDC)
  • Convoy T6 w/SFT25 (14500 pocket thrower)
  • Convoy S8 w/SFT40 (18650 EDC all purpose)

The FC11C is a great flashlight. $20 shipped is an outrageous deal. Repped OP. If you want to own one flashlight and don't want to spend $80+, this is it.

It's a huge step above the sea of Chinese pocket flashlights you find at any US retailer. IMO it's better than any other flashlight under $40, even from good companies like Sofirn and Wurkkos.

Several reasons. First, the buck converter.
Most flashlights get dimmer as the battery runs out...to the point that they put out less than 1/4 of the light it did at full charge. The converter keeps the light output stable as the battery runs down, so you don't feel like you need to constantly charge it to get full brightness. The buck converter is also more efficient, so you get more light for longer off the same battery charge. (Boost converters do the same thing, but for LEDs that need a high voltage. The result for you, the user, is the same.)

Second, the charge indicator. You can tell right away, when you turn it on, whether it's getting low on charge or not. Many cheap flashlights just stop working. Many others just flash a couple times, about two minutes before they stop working. On this one, you still have over an hour left on medium when the button goes red. This means you don't have to charge it every day to keep it from going out on you.

Last, the high CRI LED. If a flashlight doesn't mention tint or CRI, it's low CRI and 6K+ tint, which makes everything look bluish and washed out. If they just say "warm white" it's usually 3000K, which is yellowish. The 519A in this flashlight has great color rendering, and comes in two usable tints, 4K and 5K that both look natural and let you distinguish colors well.

The only other choice I like under $40 is the Wurkkos TS22 with the High CRI LED, which is basically the same flashlight, but bigger and brighter with a 21700 battery. Right now it's $37, but unless you need the extra battery life I don't think it's worth two FC11Cs.

Thanks - those are great points. It's often hard to explain the importance of CRI and drivers, but you did it well.
