Better to build your own and select Linux as the OS. You can get it down to $800 with 16 GB ram and 512 GB nvme. Both of those are easily upgradeable.

When you say easy to upgrade does that mean a single screw opens the ram slots and another single screw opens a tiny door exposes the drive like old laptop? Or you have to take out the whole bottom panel and pry the screen open to expose the internal parts?

Just unscrewed the bottoms panel. Takes like 5 mins tops.

If you include the low power display by building your own, price goes up to $900.. the cheap one is crap and less efficient.
