If you sign up and use the first time buyer 10% off code at outboundpower.com, it brings the price down to $809.10. Also, military and first responders can use GovX to get a 10% off code. They have free shipping, 30 day free returns, and are an authorized dealer for all brands they sell. They do charge tax based on your state.

I think one scenario that would work (provided you indeed leave the portable unit behind) is to install a transfer switch (permiited/to code) and have this wired in to the input to a 'critical loads' panel. This would represent an upgrade (home improvement) to make the home more energy resilient to outages, while retaining the occasional portable use for camping, etc.

If you plug it into the wall outlet and leave it for the next guy it's installed. 😂

Disregard what I just said. Pecron needs to get there c*** together. Lol. Someone from outbound power just reached out to me. And told me pecron was incorrect. They are in fact an authorized dealer. They walked me through the warranty registration themselves. The product registered fine.
Outbound Power just helped to get mine registered for the +3 year warranty. It looks to me like Pecron updated their website to include "distributor" in the dropdown menu since I first tried to register it for the extended warranty. I have had fantastic customer service from Outbound Power. This is the first time I have purchased from them, and I will definitely keep them in mind for future purchases. Oh, and the power station is working great; I just wish the app was a bit more robust.

Thanks. The idle consumption w inverter on won't be an issue for my very limited use case, so the Pecron should be fine for me. <br />

With an update the iOS app and fix the MPPT issues (for other use cases than mine) and thier reputation and reviews should improve, even more.
What's the MPPT issue?

Mine came a couple days ago. Extra battery is still on the way. Seems to run great.

However, I won't be keeping it long unless something can be worked out with customer service. I'm calling Monday. I'm not settling for a two year warranty.
Keep in mind, the extended warranty in year 3 requires you to pay for outbound shipping to Pecron...value might not be as good as you think.

Ask others, but

I'm not sure, but I understood it to have issues charging from solar panels inconsistley, sometimes shade related maybe w lower panel output not being handled.

Showed up in some negative reviews, so if/when fixed, new reviews may get better.

That's exactly right. If you thought the FedEx/UPS prices were crazy, ask them what they charge to ship HAZMAT/batteries.

A warranty where you pay shipping for HAZMAT/batteries sounds useful to only those who have never claimed a warranty, never gone through the steps or what it takes to ship it back.

Most regular FedEx/UPS stores won't even accept HAZMAT/batteries - you have to drive to specific FedEx/UPS locations that might be tens of miles away from where you live and you need to have good packaging too. Unless you saved the original packaging for 3 years, all of this will add up significantly in 3 years

Still hasn't shipped. Reached out to support new batch isn't expected until November 8-10. At that point maybe there will be a better price for Black Friday. Just cancelled my order and will wait.

i hope pecron fixed their BMS. on an old pecron i bought, if you drained battery and did not charge fast enough, system bricked unless you disassembled to unplug and replug battery

also, no support on warranty after purchase (less than 1 year in)
Just tried to charge my 600LFP today and had this happen? You been just unplug and replug and it'll take a charge again?

That's pretty typical for a 3600 watt AC inverter. If you want to use it as a UPS, get one that handles the load you need
Right. Considering 35w idle of a 3600watt inverter is less than 1% of its rated output. If you don't need 3600 watts just go with something smaller but don't expect the idle drain to be substantially less than 1% of its rated power.

The cost of asking them to help apply for labels is often much cheaper. I consulted them and they offer free round-trip shipping for 2 years If there is a problem with the product

If you want lower idle consumption with a 3600w inverter, get the jackery home power 3000. According to the solar lab YouTube channel, it idles under 10w. Pretty much every other spec is worse than the f3600lfp though.

People who bought this unit or E3600, how is going so far? Thinking about picking it up along with a spare battery

So far I'm digging this unit. I also have an extra battery. I've charged and ran it to zero about six times so far. It's more for emergencies then regular use, so I haven't ran it that hard. I'm seeing the E3600 at Wellbots for $899. So that's something to consider...

Yeap, saw it too. Apparently F3000 is quieter. How quiet is yours when you run it?
Mine will be on pretty much 24/7 in the basement running my fish tanks, and being charged during the day with the solar panels .

Seems quiet to me. Under a 1000 watts is real quiet. Start to get closer to 2000 and over, the sound is substantial. But It's very white noise and doesn't bother me in the least. Definitely think my delta 2 is substantially louder at it's higher wattages. I'll have to get out a decibel meter for a proper test.
