Is there a coupon missing or something here? I am seeing $14.44. As a 77-year-old I am looking for something that will help my grip and not break the bank or cause problems with the arthritis in my hands. If not this, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I purchased the set too and can provide some additional context. I'll preface: you get what you pay for. It's cheap plastic, low quality, and it will eventually break. I've owned "Gripmaster" grip/finger strengthening devices before, this version is barely usable. The main hand grip device of this collection is *alright* but it's only for someone who would use this very casually and not regularly (again, it'll eventually break)

From the 80s through 00s, I think I had everything on here. So relatively speaking, this is like 90% cheaper. But still silly.

a cheap and effective way to work hand strength is a bucket of rice (most grains will work). push your hand deep, make a fist and squeeze hard. pull it out and drop rice and repeat. opening up your hand with resistance of the rice is good too.

another good exercise from an old type strongman. take single sheet of newspaper. hold by a corner and using only your fingers of that hand draw it up crumbling it in your palm. once the whole paper is in your palm sqeeze it as hard as you can for 5seconds 3x. then unfold the paper and repeat a few more times if your up to it. the guy that came up with this was famous for doing 1 arm chin ups on the last link of a hanging chain pinching it between his thumb and index finger. claimed he did this 3 times every morning. dont for get to exercise your extenders too.

a good exercise for the extenders only require you and a table top or floor once advanced. you have to keep your elbow locked (straight arm) flex your wrist the top of your hand is pulled up, hand closed not tight fist but closed. this the starting position. without bending your elbow or letting your hand not be 90degree (or as close as you can get) open you hand wide and straighten your fingers as much as possible. if that gets easy, use the mentioned table top or ground to hold your wrist honest and not bend down as the fingers unfold. make sure to keep the arm straight. it can be difficult to close your hand in to reset until you get the strength and mobility. you feel the muscles on the top side of your forearm. hope this helps.
