was about to pull the plug but didn't as saw the reviews - doesn't recharge losing the light functionality

In for 5. 70% positive reviews... I'll take the risk. I'm sure any battery/electronic component does not like getting kicked/bounced around! They'll make great Christmas presents.

The real bummer here is that the basketball is a 29.5" which is a men's basketball, not a 28.5" youth/women's ball. Most young players will not use a 29.5 until high school boys basketball.
