This device is pretty old so even at this price it's questionable.

I disagree. I use mine extensively and even with the age there is still no device that can match it with feature set. It works great as a GPS with no subscription, decent launch monitor for the range, and the tempo training is something I use during every range session. If you want to be able to read greens you do have to get the Garmin+ subscription, but I don't use it. I paid less than this getting mine second hand in barely used condition and I think this new lower price is the perfect price.
