same sale at Garmin if you want to buy from manufacture. Which I do as I no longer trust amazon not to pull from a random warehouse (if they are out) and sent a fake.

This cannot be overstated. Never buy expensive electronics from Amazon unless you can't get the deal elsewhere, and if you do, make absolute certain you receive a new in box item. I received a repackaged gray market Edge 530, and didn't realize it until it was too late. I couldn't get the US maps and Amazon wouldn't do anything.

Benefit of this is that it keeps your phone from overheating and degrading the the phone's battery. So in the long run this will end up saving you money if you don't switch phones every year or if you use it a lot.

Target has it for this price as well. Wished BH has it for the tax free benefit.

DCR review says the lack of a touch screen is a problem with the new UI. Did they fix it yet?

My guess it is getting displaced by the new edge MTB. That's the one I'm waiting for.

I think I'll hold out for the 550 deals. Worse battery life (but user serviceable?) But 5hz tracking and the updated Trailforks features from the edge mtb.

This one has all the same features. They were added in an update. MTB is more rugged otherwise pretty much same device. This one has the higher MSRP.

It may be worth checking who is actually selling the product:
Shipper / Seller: Amazon.com
Purchasing directly from Amazon can sometimes be more beneficial, since you may earn an extra 5% cashback with an Amazon Prime card, along with rewards and the option to use Amazon gift cards.

This is my first Garmin bike computer; in the past, I had a CooSpoo and Geoid. While a touchscreen would make it easier to browse maps or manage music, it's not a dealbreaker when you customize the screens to your needs. Overall, it's very durable, and Garmin retains its value while continuously adding great new features.

Thank you for the information.

I've got a gift certificate for BassPro/Cabella's. Do they price match?
