Not much an Eero customer, but for a house that does not have wired ethernet to wire each AP, the system would be wireless mesh and would the PRO version be worth the higher cost, particularly for coverage? Need more coverage. My friend has a 2nd Gen Eero from 2017 right now and they want to upgrade.

EDIT: Since coverage of a large single-floor home is priority, would it make sense to buy the 3-pack + the 2-pack and use 5 AP's for the system instead of a 3-pack PRO (which is about the same price)?

The Pro Version has a 6ghz band in addition to the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. This gives u better speed. WiFi 6e had 6ghz too but WiFi 7 is the first to let u combine bands for an even faster speed.

DO NOT BUY EERO. Their unstoppable software updates are cancer which might break your internet. You will waste a lot of time to debug or wait until they push next update. I emailed to their customer support and they didn't even want to address the software issue at all!
