When I read reviews sorted by date, it looks like recent sales are not genuine high quality Dickies, sadly.

Hmm interesting. I'll have to check that out when I get my order in then. I have quite a few older pairs of dickies jeans I could compare them too. Thanks for noticing though.

The delay in shipping and most recent reviews makes me curious who is really making these pants.

My non-Rufus summary of recent reviews suggests to expect blown-out crotches, skimpy material from pants now made in Bangladesh, very unpredictable sizing and pathetically shallow pockets.

What are we waiting for?!

Going to grab a couple pairs of these, so those silly girls who are barely old enough to be my kids but keep carding me when I buy Genesee will finally think I look my age. Nothing says Gen X like loose-fitting carpenter jeans. Follow the link and look at the pics for the darker color to see what I really mean.

I've made peace with looking old, and with all the crap you have to carry around these days, I'll take all the pockets I can get. Skinny jeans be damned!
In for one. Thanks, OP!

Especially when the front pockets are so shallow.

Same, I'll take function over styling these days, and this seems age-appropriate anyway. Some people think cargo pockets are goofy but I pretty much need at least one extra pocket for work. Gotta keep a few things handy, like my reading glasses, which I never thought would be a consideration but is now, big time. Tool pockets are perfect for readers, even better than cargo pockets, and I can still see fine beyond about 4 feet so I'm not going to start wearing glass all the time if I don't need to.

If you think you're getting Dickies quality of yesteryear, you're going to be disappointed. Much thinner material, tiny front pockets, now made cheaply in Bangladesh instead of Mexico. Another once great manufacturer that compromised quality for cheap pricing. Too bad.

Bought one of each color. Thanks OP. For $15ish I can deal with low quality. The brown stains not so much - so I will return if I see brown anywhere.

BTW I think I'm Gen X and yes I like carpenter jeans. Loose fitting not croch hugging extra pockets for cell phone. A win-win in my mind.

Lots of fakes on Amazon , so could also be fake - although more likely Dickies has just lowered their quality,
