This is the lowest price I've seen. Ring's sale ends Oct. 8th and so I'm guessing the other retailers' sale prices may end then, too.

Define work. I just got the amazon 14 piece last month and for the moment have let trial end and expire. Without a sub you can only activate/deactivate with the keypad or compatible smart-lock (App only works for this if you have the $10/month sub), and professional monitoring is a sub add-on. Without the sub, if all you want is to get an email (push notifications don't seem to work for me?) saying the alarm is going off and alarm sounds from the base station/keypads when a sensor is triggered, yea, works fine.
