This is dumb in my opinion. Why would you not just get a mag safe kickstand and plug directly into your phone for faster charging?

slower charging on the nightstand, convenience of not plugging in. slower charging, less heat buildup, charged full by the morning

  1. No wear and tear on your phone's USB port. The only physical data and charging port available on nearly all phones.
  2. This is much easier to connect to your phone one-handed.
  3. This is much easier to connect to your phone when the room is dark.
The second 2 make a lot more sense when you think about using this cable on your nightstand.

I think it'll have more heat build up compared to a wired 7.5 watt charger
