Permanent, and it will not work on other glasses, because the lenses are fitted to the glass shape. Unlikely to work on other glasses.

About $75 usually depending on features
$75 starting price for basic readers. Looking at $125 with blue light. So quite expensive.

Costco doesn't deal with smart glasses. Although Costco sells Rayban Meta, they don't do prescription lenses.
Most optical places can get lenses on any frames.

I've been getting my prescription glasses direct from Costco for over a decade now. Not sure why you think they don't do it?
