Keep in mind there's uncertainty about how Google is going to handle the migration to Gemini from Assistant. Expect all the legacy Google Assistant devices to bottoms out real soon.

while that's true, it may not work for all generations. Google is particularly fond of abandoning products, including within the Nest line.

According to https://blog.google/products/goog...-for-home/ it says at the very bottom that Google Assistant will be replaced with Gemini on existing speakers and displays.

every speaker can be a satellite for a remote Google assistant, but I hope that they design a power hub that enables quicker responses for basic analysis
