So all one would have to do is find a footlong priced at $9 and $5 footlongs...
Veggie Delite in my area is $8.79. Going back to early 2000s folks, better deal than Taco Bell with their Y2K menu priced items.

Disclaimer: Be careful. On the website, I first went to deals and then I clicked on the order now. It stated that the location I put is not participating in this promotion. I went to checkout and I put the promo code in and it accepted it. Judging by past comments on similar deal posts; if this code ends up going through, am I going to end up not being able to get my stuff when I get to the location?
So I guess the safe bet is to use the order now in the deals section to check and see if the location is participating before doing it manually.

Not by me at least, most sandwiches are $8.5-11.5. (at least the ones I get). This is a sold deal.

in LA footlongs are $15+
it's crazy how far we've come from $5 footlongs. buying a premium footlong now will cost me almost $20 after tax.

Thats not the crazy part... California minimum wage for fast food workers was $8/hour until 2014 then it went up $1 every year. Today its $20/hour now.
Even crazier; texas subway workers make $7.25/hour in 2025... thats less than Cali workers made 20 years ago and 3x less than the same subway worker in Cali makes today.

Depends where you live. I live in Tucson, AZ and the footlongs are like $13-16, so 2 for 12.99 is a fantastic deal.I see some people posting about it not being a good deal but it really depends on your local pricing.

Subway has gone downhill. It's never on my list of options.

Tried to order Subway yesterday on laptop and phone and it makes you pay with Apple Pay, which I don't do. Is that the norm with them?

Yeah the task now is to find a location that will actually honor the coupon, but that's been like that for years. Typically locations inside Walmarts will accept coupons.

The only time I've had a store not accept a coupon after order placement was a store that never used to accept coupons then miraculously did when I placed another order. It happens to be the closest store to my work so I thought great I don't have to drive 10 mins. Well I got a call like 5 minutes after submitting the order from the store saying I couldn't apply a coupon and subway cash (the rewards points) and I'd have to delete the coupon. Then I got an email saying that *I* had cancelled the order. Well screw that guy, I simply don't buy from that store any more.

Well the MW in TX is still $7.25 but that doesn't mean employees actually make that. Even when most states aligned with the Fed MW, relatively few people actually only made MW. I'd dig up the stats again but with many states having very high MW that will mess up the numbers.

Also, TX is about 36% cheaper than CA in cost of living difference [worldpopulationreview.com]. Assuming that's evenly distributed amongst its factors, what costs $20 in CA would instead cost more like $12.80, so yes you earn less but everything is cheaper (using TX and CA as states and disregarding specific locations since there are far too many permutations there to talk about)
