Usually you can tell the quality of a panel by how well it handles blacks and shadows. I'll give you a few anecdotal examples:
Remember a few years back when Game of Thrones was the biggest thing in the world. Well there were quite a few episodes that took place at night like the episode in season 8 titled "The Long Night". The world was imploding and criticizing the producers because they couldn't see anything apparently. Well... my high end Samsung TV (Well high end at the time the KS800 series 65inch) my wife and I had no complaints or issues watching the episodes whatsoever. I remember talking to a group of my coworkers and more than half of them were so angry and kept saying they couldn't see anything. My team lead at the time owned an LG OLED TV (not sure on the exact model of his) and he also confirmed it looked great on his TV. We quickly figured out that those who had lower end TVs were the ones complaining about not being able to see anything on their units. Those of us with higher end TVs didn't even have to make any adjustments to watch those episodes perfectly fine.
We happened to be at a friend's kids birthday party. Eventually everyone moved inside to get away from all the mosquitos and inevitably someone turned on Netflix and we started watching a movie. Of course the name of the movie we ended up watching partially while at their house escapes me, but I do recall struggling to tell what the heck was happening in some of the scenes. Anyway when I got home I picked up watching the movie where we had left, but then I decided to start over like 2minuntes in. I tell you what, things that I was STRUGGLING to watch on their TV, on my TV they were super clear! Their TV was also a Samsung TV but based on the design of the unit it was a lower end model. I tell you what, it was quite literally a night and difference from their TV being essentially unwatchable to ours being just fine. I even remember telling my wife that I couldn't see crap on their TV. The wife is not a TV snob, but even she said the difference was crazy between our units.
Anyway all that to say, this TV is likely fine for watching most content, but dark movies/scenes is really where higher end TVs and lower end units really show a difference, anecdotally at least. That being said... its $300, still a great deal even if the picture quality isn't great.
Let us know how you like it since reviews for that unit are nearly non-existent.

Needed a TV for my garage.
Was on the fence between a cheap and slightly nicer 65" TV. So 70" for $300 is just fine to me.

The hardware specs aren't bad by any means for the price, but with a Roku OS they should be paying you to have it in your home. Call it profit sharing.
