i wish Big Joe 3 is available in my area which also on sale for 1500.

I prefer 3 over 2 for additional flexibility and accessories that comes with series 3

I can agree that it is expensive . It's an amazing grill , amazing things can sometimes be very expensive ..wit this frame of thinking - really - we can ask ourselves why do we have this or that ? Why do you have a vehicle , why do you have a car , why a tv , why a computer , why that cell phone , why those clothes .. etc . All of it is luxury you know ...

Good deal.. I think. Does it need the stand, or will it be usable standalone?

Not worth it. Kamado's were appealing when prices were a lot lower 15 years ago. Now, it's just ridiculous.

So I own three of these between Big Green Egg and Kamado Joe.
It's worth it IF you grill often... If you're a couple, don't get the Big Joe or Classic. Just get the Kamado Jr. These waste a ton of charcoal so it's only worth it for big cooks...
Any time I use it, I try and make leftovers.
Kamado Joe has amazing customer service for what it's worth. Obviously, they're not going to help you if you drop the grill on the floor and crack it but they're reasonable with warranty on the parts.
They're very versatile. Makes amazing juicy whole chicken and you can slow cook pork for amazing tacos. Then you can just sear and grill if you want.
But by far the best about it is how amazing the pizzas are... Trust me, these things make great pizzas.
I made 30 pizzas in about an hour and they came out neapolitan style just like the authentic Italian pizzas.
In short.... if you want to use this frequently and only have 1-3 people, get the Kamado Jr.
Get the larger Kamado's if you have a bigger family and want leftovers. You'll be chugging through charcoal quick if you're using this often so it's best to just make bigger batches.

Also, the accessories are pretty useless... I wouldn't waste money on them. You'll hardly notice the difference if you just prep well.

Love my Primo! It's just the standard large which works 90% of the time, but I've considered an XL oval for really big cooks, just can't justify it.

"Burgers? Listening to this guy. I've been brining a heritage chicken for three days now, we'll put in on the grill at midnight when the grill reaches temperature." - Glen Guagmire.
