10/1 update from an email: 100% back in points on all luggage and in-store passport photos.
Expires Saturday, Oct 11th!
CREDIT TO SUCHaDEAL
REMEMBER!!
IMPORTANT!!
The FREE AFTER REWARDS OFFER MUST BE ACTIVATED PRIOR TO ORDERING IN YOUR REWARDS PANEL!! You will not earn rewards without doing so.
Also: 100% back in points on all passport photos, up to $50. Even if you're not going to apply for a passport right now, but perhaps in a year or two - get your passport photos now! Also good for:
1. visas in certain countries that still require you to bring a 2x2" photo (usually: must be different from your original passport photo - bring two shirts if you need a passport photo and a visa photo)
2. your international driving permit photo.
macosxfan alerted us that Staples revised the expiration of the luggage deal to 10/8/25. (Guessing to sync with Amazon's promotion ending today, too.)
Update: the in-store $250 deal continues until 10/18! Make sure you activate the deal, since it appears to be new and separate from last week's two deals.

Guessing that this reward points deal will only be for in-store purchases..?
https://www.staples.com/lp/easyrewardsover
Excerpt: "Do my Easy Rewards points expire?
Points don't expire so long as your Easy Rewards member account is active. For an account to remain active, a member must earn or redeem at least one point in an 18-month period."
But you never know when they'll change things.... Always sleep with one eye open.

They've been known to do that (and the worst they can do is say "no").
From that point on, you can earn an occasional few miles by making online purchases through their online shopping portal (where they give you x miles/$1 spent) and keep the miles from expiring.
I feel for ya. And if you feel the need to earn them back somehow, you can always sign up for one of their Citibank AAdvantage credit cards (some of them have the annual fee waived for the first year, so you can keep it for a year, wait until they charge you the annual fee for year 2, then call them to cancel the card and refund you that fee). You can get 50k and 70k miles at a time, that way.
Of course, you might have already done these things, but I figured it's worth mentioning.
You have to place the order at register with sales associate, which is a pain and not the same as pay in store. The new company who took over from staples got rid of online/paying in store section. It was different than online order.
placing an order via kiosks was easy and convenient.

Thanks for the info. I was afraid of that - the thing I had greatly feared has come upon me.... Maybe it'll change in 10 years.

I suppose the passport photo deal is interesting for some people, too.
