One of the last great Sonos speakers before the company went to shit. Still punches above its weight after all these years. $100 is a fantastic price for it, especially if you have another one to create a stereo pair with. Note though that the SL model doesn't have a mic so won't work with Alexa or Google Assistant.

Technically no you can't add two of these to the front . But technically you can with a third party app that cost like $3 one time fee . It's called SonoSequencr. People on the Sonos Facebook page seem to like it but I think the people I've seen use it have used the fives vs the ones

thanks never heard of this app... can't be any worse than theirs has been Smilie
People use this app for other things not just adding speakers to the front. I should add that in there

If anyone needs satellite speakers for their Arc/Beam setups, this is the speaker you want.

The new Era 100's are overkill for rear surround speakers.

Any thoughts on this vs era 100 for extra $34 for a kitchen speaker? I have the old play 1 that does not have airplay so I can't connect it with the rest of the house / tv system.

So which Sonos model is best to be used for fronts?

Thanks for posting. I've been looking for a One SL for while so my mom can pair her One with it for stereo. Hard to find at a reasonable price since they were discontinued.

That's what I have heard as well. Fives or Era 100s for fronts with Sonos Arc. Ones or Era 300s for rears.

I don't have that answer. But if you add a set of fronts to your arc it will turn off the left and right of the arc and use whatever you have added as the L/R . You will also lose true play, not huge in my opinion. Also won't be able to individually control the volume of new L/R . Those will be tied to your arc

I have two that I use with a Beam, wonder if you can build a surround setup with 4 of them?

Solid for the price. Had one for a couple years paired with a Nest Hub Max to control it, blows the Max out of the water.

Who "certified" renewed this? Sonos or some other company?

Presumably I could pair this with an ancient Play:1, yes?

Will it turn anything off on the Beams as well, or just he Arcs?

You'll never miss that $34. Get the Era 100.
I bought one back when they were $125 this summer. Amazing.
