These and the smaller one are excellent tools on par with Knipex.

Looks like the bad reviews for these are the (counterfeit?) ones that are stamped/packaged with IGANCE vs IGAN (as shown in many user photos). Grabbing a 2 pack to see what arrives.

Here's one labeled IGAN that has similar bad review. Picture linked. https://m.media-amazon.com/images...QFiT3S.jpg

I've bought 12 of these so far and have been ultra impressed.

Doc w/ "LastBestTools" on the ol' Utube tipped me off to them.

yeah, interesting comments and pics
Here's another example of someone cutting staples.

I'd say with all the negative and positive reviews, it really depends on what you're cutting.
Spec's say 12ga wire.... I'd wager it's possibly stranded copper, not solid core.

Also, the staple pic I shared above the "staples" could be steel strapping staples... those you need a strong edge, not a super sharp edge, to cut.

I dunno... YMMV

CCC show 3rd party seller kept hitting $5.54 as the price point. So this isn't slick at all.

i have a few cheap Amazon tools and while the tools seem fine the handle material just falls apart on all of them.

As far as precision of cut yes these are very close I've been using them in a wiring shop for 2 years the smaller one is an incredible value as well.
