Maybe if youre planning to wait for black friday, but these two parts at msrp would be $1035 so its not bad for high end stuff that doesnt go on sale too often. Also reportedly they arent charging sales tax which on an item this expensive is another $75 ish

I bought an MSI motherboard with an AMD 9800x3d a few weeks ago and it was a decent deal. Better still when factoring in that they don't charge tax.

There's a 10% student discount that stacks with this. Just an edu email iirc. Only discounts the mobo, not the cpu.

Meh, was hoping to justify this with the edu discount and no tax, but tax essentially kills the edu discount. Booooo. Guess I'll stick w/ my 5700x3d and 14700F :-/

Is this confirmed? I read about their student discounts and it says it doesn't stack with other offers or discounts.

Yeah it worked for me. I didn't order though. Total was listed as $776.69 ($22.41 off) so it discounted AFTER the coupon code even. So it's not a lot, but still something.

Not sure if deal is dead or what. Code wouldn't work anymore. I wanted to check if I was charged tax. The code is still listed on the page and there's still a banner at the top saying it is on sale so idk. My account was bugging. Password reset system is awful. You can only request a code once per day, and only use a code once. Stupid me decided to logout, so now I can't get back in today.
