Less than $50 per tb seems like a good deal. I bought a similar, non-pro, maybe not Gen 2, in July for $185. I think its very good, speedy enough, fastest SSD I currently have. Haven't seen this $/ tb for two years. Have three Crucials, no issues in my personal experience.

On the 2 TB one, there's a 3rd party seller that has 'em for $99 and free S&H for those who feel like an adventure over $6.xx.

Seems like a great deal, specifically for 2 and 4TB.

I probably need a 1 TB, but not for another couple months. I'm thinking Black Friday deals should be better than this, right?

I'm not so sure this is that good of a deal. I got a Samsung 990 EVO Plus M.2 NVMe 1TB SSD and a Orico NVMe SSD enclosure for $85. I think for $10 more, this may be the way to go.

It would make more sense for the 2TB.

The 1TB from samsung is a great deal though.

Any ideas on whether Prime days will have any better deals than this?

Some Amazon reviews for the 2TB say they experienced the ssd crashing, losing data, or not running up to its rated speed. But then for the 1TB, there weren't these complaints. What's your experience been like with any capacity of the X9 Pro?

... there is a difference between the pro models and the regular models X9 regular and x9Pro, just make sure you are reading reviews from the x9 pro in this thread. I do own 2 of the 4TB x9 pro's .
I think some people had problems a number of months ago, with apple devices having problems with format type issues, but I think it was fixed. Also, it helps if people share in their posts it they are using apple device or microsoft/android device, ... if they have problem with this product to help clarify the situation.

Is it worth getting the "for Mac" models with MBP M4 Pro?

yeah, if you are MAC user, YES! I have both Windows and MAC's and I mostly use this device for watching movies/tv shows, music (so I bought the windows version). It might depend what you are doing with the model you get. If you are to buy this, maybe check current forum rooms to get up-to-date info, and tips. I did when I made my purchase 2-3 months ago.

The problem I see in many reviews is they don't tell us what they did with the device, and which system they were using. I keep it simple, and use these just for media consumption, so if others have to do more types of stuff, research it. I put this in both my apple MAC and Windows devices, and had no problems , but I kept it very simple.
