How would this compare to a desktop that has a 5070? I just got a desktop, but it's so loud, I'm thinking of switching to a laptop.

desktops tend to run quieter than gaming laptops. they are notoriously loud & hot as they have to cool powerful components in a smaller frame.

You may have a case where the airflow isn't great. This isn't how a desktop should normally act.
