for those that play the game, would buying more than 1 be beneficial for a new player for deck building or whatnot?

This is a good price for a couple of pre-made decks, but I think this set cycles out of legal premier league play come March 2026.You could probably get 80-90% of the cards free at a local shop if local players donate their commons for new players to try out.

Some cheap decks can be built around the Mandalorian as a leader, and you can find some deck builds at swudb.com

thanks that's really helpful information. My kid and I play Lorcana competitively but he loves the Star wars IP so we will dip our toe in soon. I might get this just to test the waters but I'll save most of what I buy for stuff that won't rotate out soon.

Lorcana is very similar to SWU, so it shouldn't be too hard to get into.
