Is there anything better at $600?

I bought this about three months ago on a similar deal -- I'm a bit of a Luddite, so use my familiar Chromecast instead of acclimating to the Fire ecosystem. Impressed with the picture and build quality at this price, and it plays well with my Denon X2700H and other electronic components, Wi-Fi, etc. Would recommend as an above-average tv at a no frills price.

"Value for price beaten by none" and that's not even considering this discounted price. No brainer if in the market. If not a fan of Fire TV, just grab a $30 4K Roku stick.

This is a fantastic TV, as long as you don't play video games. VRR and Local Dimming can't both be enabled simultaneously with this TV, so you have to choose between smooth gaming or usable HDR. You can't have both.

Purchased back in June (prior to tariffs) at Costco with 2 yr warranty and extended warranty of another 3 years at this price. I'm happy with performance. Is it OLED? No. Is it Sony Bravia 7 or LG C4 top of line? No. It's a great mid-level non-gaming set that provides proper balance of color, features, and price. I personally wouldn't buy without extended warranty, but that's me. Buying from Costo also provides easier opportunity for return. My 2 cents. I used calibration from here:

Rating here v2.0.1 method (more strict)

Appears currently out of stock, but check (also Costco has buy 2 save $100; some on previous post doubled up with neighbors or friends for another $50 off)

Fire tv interface is slightly annoying coming from a Roku owner (previous TV) and on every other TV interface the house. It's tolerable, but you can always throw one on it.

Only red flag for me is that this isnt a Prime deal through Amazon. So not sure how that would affect returns if you are unhappy or TV shows up damaged.

I got the 55 inch version of this tv from BuyDig for my parents back in the summer when they were doing a bundle with the free sound bar. So far they are very happy with it. They use a Roku stick so I can't comment on the native os.
We had two issues.
First when bought directly by BuyDig, the shipping company delivered the tv standing up on a windy day, which of course went splat and the screen shattered. Had to rebuy the set.
Second, it came with a soundbar, which we could not get working.
Otherwise, my parents are very happy with the tv.

Slick deal, very tempting. I've sort of started shopping for an OLED, looking mainly at the Panasonic Z85 and refurb/open box Bravia 8 for $900-$1100 or so. But my frugal side is telling me this should be enough of an upgrade (coming from a 55" TCL 5-series as a living room TV) that I'll be perfectly happy with it, and with the ~$500 I'd save, or I could get a second one for the basement room I've been renovating.

Will need to pick up a Roku for it, because like many people I don't like the Fire interface, but that's easily solved. Tough decision because I was really thinking it was time for an OLED.
