I just bought a similar one from Kohl's tonight when I took an Amazon return back, enticed by the 20% off coupon on the return receipt.

They have several brands that all look the same except for the nameplate, so I grabbed the Aroma brand. It has the same form factor, buttons, and extras as this one does (and as they all do). After discounts it was $17.56. Look into it if you need a 6-cup version.

I washed it out and made some Jasmine rice with it tonight and it came out perfect in 18 minutes.

My first foray into the world of rice cookers, but I can't image what could be improved by paying a hundred bucks or more for a rice cooker.

In case someone needs a primer (like I did).
Apparently the higher end ones (not Micom, even higher) are made in Japan.

We have one of these. Works great. The cooking pot is thicker than the Aroma model. Better for 2 cups than 3 though. It will cook 3 but it takes significantly longer than 2 and when it's done there's no room to "fluff" the rice.

I have a cheap rice cooker and the bottom of the rice always burns does this avoid that?

What makes this better than the Salton or Aroma for $20?

This looks exactly like my $9.99 rice cooker except it has the Zojirushi name on it. I don't see anywhere that if has the "fuzzy logic"!

That's just a basic rice cooker. It's still a fascinating design, it basically flips to warm when the water has evaporated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSTNhvDGbYI

aroma brand will make good rice for a while. a decent neuro fuzzy zojirushi from Japan will make restauraunt quality rice for the rest of your life. no comparison.

Hope that works. If not, just google Kohls and Aroma rice cooker.

Also, when you get to the product page, scroll to the bottom and you'll see there's several brands that look identical and are priced within a few dollars of each other. For $17.56 (with the MYFAMILY20 code), the Aroma is worth a shot.
