I have two coffee thermos carafes by Zojurushi that were made to be sold by Starbucks. They are 20 years old at least. They are terrific at keeping coffee warm. I've put in hot coffee at noon and at noon the following day poured some and it was still decently warm. It wasn't hot but it was definitely not room temperature. If I pour it at say 6 pm, it's still hot. If you have a need for a great carafe, this is hard to beat.

I own one. Its well made and use it daily. Funny how the staff posted the other sized versions and all frontpage and this has no traction. Hmmm

Accidentally dropped mine and the lid hinge broke. No fix for that. Not worth paying up for fragile plastic.

The best, by far, for long life is the Stanley version in green. All the parts are available a decent prices - and have been for decades. I still have and use the Stanley thermos I bought right out of high school 20+ years ago. It has spent its entire life behind the back seat or in the bed of a road crew work truck. Definitely a BIFL purchase.

Have got one Zojirushi left. Still have a Stanley work thermos from the 80's, and it is just a tank. So, it can't be considered a travel cup, and has very poor thermal performance. May try a Stanley to-go travel coffee cup when/if my Zojirushi is broken.

Hahahaha. No my Stanley thermos is definitely not designed to fit in a cup holder, and it barely has any paint left. You are correct, better options for that. Surprised your Stanley is not working well, mine routinely keeps coffee very hot for almost 2 full days. That is PLENTY long enough for me. Maybe contact Stanley customer service if you are getting poor thermal retention?

I love Stanley products as well. I have a bunch of them including thermos style. While I like them a lot, for heat retention they don't hold a candle to the ones by zojirushi. However, for drinking, I have the admirals mug (actually have a bunch of them) and those are fantastic. Also have other styles and make coffee every day using the Stanley pour over metal coffee maker.

I want the one with Slicksteel (non-coated interior).
