Must be an outlier. I have these and have gifted several sets to family and they have held up really well, both structurally and sharpness wise. The materials have held up well. And I know many who don't even take even good care of those.

$2.33 for each pair for 3M brand and "lifetime warranty". Sounds good as long as they aren't the tiny ones that cramp your hand. Currently rocking the $1 Harbor Freight scissors which work surprisingly well…but these have "ultra edge titanium" technology, so I'm curious.

Mine have held up well for over 5 years. Still sharp. Getting another set now to gift.

These are the full standard length of 8 inches with sharp tips (as pictured). The one poster who said they are bad might have gotten a defective set, which they could have replaced and would have found out they are truly awesome.
These things can happen with any product, and the good news is it is rare with these. Check reviews. 4.8 out of 5 stars with over 1000 reviews on Costco alone.

You will know with the first (and five hundredth) cut. You can feel the sharpness and precision.

I have purchased maybe 10 sets for myself and for my family. ALL were much appreciated.

You have no risk, You cannot lose with Costco, so why not listen to the masses of satisfied owners?
You won't even need 3M Scotch's warranty with a Costco purchase to get a refund or replacement!
But nice to know they do stand behind their product.

More likely, the user is defective. I could see one defective pair, but not all three.

My issue is trying to find an item like this in a Costco. I have problems remembering where past purchases are located and while I enjoy the sales discount that often comes with it, I hate when I think I remember but find that the item was moved to an end cap.

I bought a set years ago. One pair gets almost daily use and it's still cutting great. The blades are rather thin so this can't cut anything thick without them flexing, but they're good for thin precise work.

Maybe a bad run, with some assembly line issues that affected many sets until the issue was resolved, and some got past QC.

The simple recourse- free replacement, resulting in a happy ending. Instead, they gave up, either returning them or tossing them out. Had they gotten replacements, they would have known how great these are (normally).

On the other hand, some folks never believe in giving a second chance if they get something defective.

My philosophy:
Sh*t happens, so it's as much about the remedy, which can turn a negative into a positive.

Agreed! Costco is constantly moving stuff around. You have to ask employees for help sometimes to find stuff they've moved. Walmart employees can direct you to the aisle where something is, but Costco employees just have to learn or ask someone else.

These look mysteriously similar to Westcott's titanium scissors, which are quite good. Amazon is a bit over $11 for a 4 pack, or $2.83 per scissor. $2.33 ea is a great price. And if you don't feel like driving to Costco, an extra $0.50 for delivery is also pretty awesome.
