These smart plugs have worked great for me. I use them to run some lights on a schedule (mainly). The energy monitoring ones are particularly handy for being able to get an idea of how much power stuff uses (in lieu of something like a kill-a-watt), or keep an eye on it over the long term.

I'm considering picking up the monitoring ones for my Linux mini-PC that I'm using as a home server. Would be cool to know how much it actually costs to run. Only sad part is that plugging it in would kill my 6 week streak of continuous uptime 🥲

If you have a UPS for it (you should, if it's a server), do it 'upstream' of the UPS. That'll give you an idea of how much the whole setup (including the UPS) uses

Not all of them. My two indicate less consumption than what they actually pull from the wall.
For anyone looking for smart plugs, I'd recommend getting Tapo instead of Kasa and the P115 is the one I like and use.

Tapo app can control Kasa devices but Kasa's app cannot control Tapo devices; Tapo is like the parent company now.
The P115 energy monitor shows you daily power usage on a timeline. Many of the Kasa energy monitor plugs I have only show you one day, one week, or one month; They don't show you each days usage.
These are great, and I believe they're a little more compact than the HS103 model. I have about a dozen in my house running grow lights for houseplants and an herb garden, and while rarely they might fail to kick on at the set routine start time, they are for the most part functional, responsive, and super-convenient to have around. I do kind of need more but at this point I'll wait until November for deeper discounts.
I have z-wave, zigby and some of these around the house. The Kasa plugs have around 50% failure rate over the years, I am not even using them for heavy loads.
