This is a great superautomatic machine with the easiest cleanup and the lowest running costs. I stopped using grinders and a Breville espresso machine because of how convenient this is. Obviously taste isn't the same, but it's close enough with milk drinks. Best of all, the whole family can use it without having to learn how to pull shots.

I have had mine for 5 years. Best purchase ever. My grinder is in storage. Along with all my other coffee paraphernalia.

Deep clean at least twice a year with the tablets. Once are month is you want perfection.

Store the LatteGo disassembled (two pieces) to keep the seal tight. Though I normally use a frother to avoid cleaning the LatteGo.

For those owning one, best place to get replacement carafe? Mine's made it >5 years, but is starting to leak steam more consistently. Philips wants $70....

The only difference is automatic milk operations for drinks. Everything else is exactly the same. Same brew group, etc. I'll keep the 800 series for $175 and not spend and extra $275 just for auto milk operations. Half the work of milk frother is cleaning it anyway which you will have with both machines. With the 800 series you can still play around with your milk and create barista style drinks. Just buy a $7 stainless steel milk frothing cup from Amazon and you're good to go.

To each their own. I had semi-auto and manually frothed for a few years, but I do milk drinks ~4x as often now with LatteGo, and my wife would never make milk drinks without me (she does now). Cleaning the 3 part of the carafe is super simple, <30 seconds. Technically you can dishwash the pieces, but I use it more frequently than I run dishwasher.

How does the Evo compare to the Philips 3200 in the OP? Or to the Bosch 300/500 series?

Nespresso user here trying to get into the superautomatic world.

I bought a few off ebay for ~35-50. Not a whole lot cheaper, but it helps. That way I can keep them loaded in the fridge with different milks depending w/o having to empty it out after each use.
