Xbox is putting ads directly into their dashboard. Xbox stopped offering physical disc version for a majority of it's titles (Indiana Jones is digitally only; while on PS5 a disc is available). Xbox tried increasing it's games up to $80 (The Outer Worlds 2)

Sony isn't clean itself, but better enough than Xbox who have no clear direction and future potential with all their studio closures and project cancellations.
2) Yes, you can play on a PC but most people who play XBox have it connected to the big TV in their living room. The PC is in another room on a smaller monitor. So if you want to play a AAA title on a big screen, if you bought it with steam, you either move the PC to the living room of you're SOL.

If you don't game enough to justify the $30. You do know there is 2 other tiers. If 30 dollars is too much there is the middle 15 dollar tier that has nearly the same access
Paying the COD tax. I burned up as many Rewards points as I could yesterday before they pulled Ultimate codes as an option to redeem, I maxed out my sub, but in 3 years from now I'm not sure what kind of shape the entire Xbox brand is going to be in, might be the last hurrah.
12k of free points per month of ultimate seemed like a MUCH better deal than anything else being offered.
I stopped at 12mo because i didn't even get the notification until like 10pm
i could have gotten another 8months worth or so, but i figured i'd hold on to that $100 in points just in case i want free physical goods... but i've already gotten an X, a couple custom controllers, the bluetooth headset, and a bunch of games over the past couple years

wow im stunned. these price increases are greedy. So. xbox will now cost $650.
