These are my FAVORITE Shokz. Have owned the Aftershokz, OpenRun, OpenRun Pro and now the OpenRun Pro 2's and the audio quality of these are much better. Of course, that's my personal preference. My family who also love Shokz aren't as much fans of the Pro 2's and prefer the normal bone conduction headphones.

These are my FAVORITE Shokz. Have owned the Aftershokz, OpenRun, OpenRun Pro and now the OpenRun Pro 2's and the audio quality of these are much better. Of course, that's my personal preference. I have the older version and I love the sound quality. Be aware the battery on these units are not replaceable and that is the draw back if the battery stop charging like it's suppose to.

I'm not sure of the policy or how well they would determine if the unit was the proper one, I think they are serialized, but this model came out at the end of August 2024, so a worn out battery shouldn't be an issue. With that being said, if you have any issues, Shokz has a really great 2 year warranty that I've used a couple times over the years to get a bad headset replaced, so you shouldn't have any issues doing that if you run into a problem.

I just tried these and I really wasnt a fan. I own a couple pairs of Galaxy Buds3 Pro and they have an Ambient sound feature that lets you hear whats around you and has the voice controls to play/pause/skip music which is amazing when running.

You can use the app to put these in classic mode which is bone conduction only. You can hear everything around you then plus battery life is much better. I generally run them in this mode.

just to further on my point you can hear everything around you as well with the Buds3 Pro including holding a conversation with someone you're beside.

Yeah but those are in-ear. Some people don't like having something in their ears.


With these Shokz you can wear them all day without fear of falling out or annoyance in the form of having something stuck inside your ear canals.

Bought an Excellent one of these a few days ago and it came today. I'm pretty happy and impressed with it. Looks and performs like new. The sound quality is top notch while I go for a run

I've used a number of highly rated ear buds with pass through audio. While it can be a beneficial feature, it's never as good (IMO) as just being able to hear things directly. Particularly where directional audio and fast reactions might be needed, such as hearing a vehicle when running.

I'll take one of my paris of Shokz or other open ear headphones while exercising outdoors over anything with passthrough every single time. Just my two cents.
