That's because you probably grew up on the HFCS version. This tastes like ketchup used to taste. Not a bland red sugary paste-y goo, but like tomato ketchup. Not quite like homemade, but much closer in taste than the HFCS red goo.

Not a fan. I bought a 3 pack at Costco and returned 2 9/10 bottles.
IMO, this "Simply" version tastes nothing like the original.
