I loved the Duo Soft before I switched to the Q star. Any idea how these compare to the Duo Soft?

Kind of a mixed bag. I've played very little with the Duo Soft (found on courses) but more experience with the Zip. Overall, the Zip is a very playable ball. Good mix between being softer than tour but not mushy like SuperSoft so you are able to get some feedback on the strike quality. There are two minor negatives that I encountered:
1)The ball will scuff, sort of...the dimples are wide and shallow, like craters, with ridges separating them, similar to Bridgestone E12. Those ridges can become scuffed. However, if you are of that group that loses a lot of balls, then will probably never notice. OTOH, the ridges will allow you to impart spin on the ball and have it check up when going for the green.
2) Have noticed that on long putts when you have to give it a firm stroke and fail to hit it clean, it is prone to what I call stutter or chatter, which can result in inconsistent speed. Believe it may be due to those "ridges" mentioned above.
Saying all that, I enjoy playing this ball and tempted to pick up a double dozen (this is an excellent price) except I have plenty of golf balls for probably the next 5 years!
BTW, my preferred gamer is the Vice Pro Soft/Air

Anyone know how this compares with the Costco Kirkland balls? As it seems to be the best deal comparison.

Love these! Used these all year in my league. Best ball I've played with if you like more feel and control. Well worth the money...snagged a couple dozen.

no real comparison. surlyn cover vs urethane, 2 piece vs 3 piece, low compression vs high compression. Remove the kirkland ball and this isn't a bad deal but the kirkland ball value wise is unbeatable.

Golf Ball Layers Compression Feel Recommended Swing Speed Who's It For
Kirkland 3-Piece Medium (90) Mid 95-110 MPH Intermediate
Wilson Zip 2-Piece Low (65) Soft Under 90 MPH Beginner

Personally, I find the Kirkland ball is 10+ yds shorter (my swing speed is in the upper 80's), but Ia compression under 70 feels too soft unless I am playing in the cold.

Agree there is "no comparison", completely different type of golf balls but would personally prefer to play the Zip over the Kirkland. I have a slower swing speed and lose yardage with the Kirkland, 5-10 yards depending upon club. I can get past the firmer feel of the Kirkland if I gained some benefit from the ball but don't. At least, not for my game...mid-handicap.

received order from WM today...12 balls. lots of reviews on Amazon and WM say they only received 12. not sure this is really supposed to be 24 balls.
