Dell refurbished has a lousy reputation. What they call A grade cosmetic condition will be C grade!

these 11th gen intel processors are crap. throttle all the damn time and fans are running full blast when I have one tab open in a browser. with that said I have one of these for the price and it's fine for a cheap laptop.

I bought an A grade a few months ago, and I had to return it because of its cosmetic conditions. It's probably hit or miss, but I missed.

Yeah, it's not every 11th Gen, but when our work laptops were Surface 4s with that generation, it seemed like half the people complained about the fans always running. Maybe just poor quality control or thermal issues?

I haven't heard any complaints about the Surface 5s with the 12th Gen cpus.

there's a bios setting i found to disable turbo boost or whatever and it's considerably reduced the amount the fan comes on. it might be a smidge slower but can't tell the difference when surfing the web.

I received one that looked great and I was so excited but when I went to type it was double typing. I emailed and they told me to ship it back, which I did and they would exchange it but never did, ended up refunding me instead. I'm hesitant to order from them again because clearly they don't test the products..

I have bought 3 different Dell Latitude Refurbished business class laptops over 4 years. All have worked extremely well and I just bought another one as my older Dell was not able to upgrade to Windows 11 due to hardware limitations. Very reasonably priced with discounts available.

I've bought several Dell refurbished deals over the last couple of decades and been very happy with nearly all of them. The last thing I bought from them was a laptop last year, and it's the only one I ever remember having an issue with. It was definitely closer to a grade C than the A that was advertised, but support replaced it without much pushback. The replacement looked practically new and I haven't had an issue with it.
