The issue I have with these bulbs is the WiFi chip. Of all the smart devices in my home, these are frequently falling off the network and then rejoining. Sometimes only a few seconds until it comes back, other times it could be minutes. Very frustrating when you walk into a dark room and the lights don't turn on because they fell off the network! Nothing else on the network has this issue, so I know it is these bulbs.
To work around this I plugged the lamps with these bulbs into smart plugs, and now I control the automations by turning on the smart plugs. Since the lamps are always turned on, when a switch turns on the lamp restores power to the bulb and the bulb illuminates. You can set the brightness of the bulbs in the Kasa app, so that when the power is restored to the bulbs they turn on at whatever brightness you like. This workaround has been bulletproof so far, for the last two weeks. Not sure why the cheap smart plugs are so reliable while the bulbs have a flaky wireless chip.
Due to the connectivity issue I probably wouldn't buy them again.
