I actually have both. The battery is bigger in this one, and there are more buttons for selecting the sound, as now you have a button for each category. Judging by the picture, you would think that the bigger one has a bigger and better speaker. Unfortunately that is not the case. The speaker looks like it is the same size as the Dream Egg. If anything the smaller one even sounds just a little bit better in my opinion.So if you really need the larger battery, get this. If you really need a smaller size for travelling, get the dream egg. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter much.

I got one so I can take on my upcoming vacation so I like that it's portable. I'd rather not use my phone for white noise plus the speaker on this is going to be better than what my phone can output.

In addition to using your phone, there are tons of marathon YouTube videos with "deep sleep" muzak you can play on a TV throughout the night.
