Got the email but already have 1year free Pro I think it was from Paypal so I'm wondering if it will allow a new account. Still, I haven't used it not even once.

I go back and forth between chapgpt and perplexity. Both are useful. Use everyday throughout the day. The more you use them, the more you will want to use them more.

The perplexity account can't have had a subscription, ever. I tried this with my perplexity account that had the xfinity promo and was denied. And the paypal email was ineligible for reuse for another perplexity account.

In the end i got a $1/mo promo email for PP so I'm using that for now.

I'm a fan of perplexity. I've used it a lot since getting the free year through PayPal. great with search and citations, but less creative imo than ChatGPT and other tools

I go back and forth between Gemini and Chatgpt, it's hard to fit in more than a few platforms at a time (one main and one backup). Well, at least with this thread I am reminded to go back and give Perplexity a shot but honestly, Gemini is taking off for me and it's hard to look back.

Use both Perplexity and chatGPT daily. I have an excess of curiosity about many things. Also useful in forum arguments and better phrasing/formatting forum posts. chataGPT helped me diagnose a medical problem w/o having to visit an MD and yes, it was a correct diagnosis and I am much improved after fixing the issue.

I hardly use Google any longer.
