Less work that you paid for your guitar. LOL
That "LOL," doesn't give me confidence in your honesty, but okay.
I'm skeptical, but okay.
I have received $58 guitars that arrived setup very well. I did almost nothing to enhance one (pickup height and action, w/intonation; but nothing was required). I bought a $10 pre-cut TUSQ nut for another (cost me +$1 with coupon). So I'm down $1 and custom to my preferences.
Setup your guitars! You're going to need to again eventually, anyway.
Still if you get a GLX not setup then send that baby back. They said they would set it up.
But wait. Monoprice is very good about returns, within their policy (did it change?). So we know it's an error here and not a fire sale. Because we will just return it. Plus, the lack of quality control, and including a flimsy selector switch is not what the many reports of guitars from MP say. But I guess it can happen to any guitar, so it's great Monoprice is a seller that's covers that, if you return it soon enough. Never wait to review your purchases when they arrive. Isn't it 30 days? Last time I checked.
Was the box damaged, so shipper damage, not MP? Which I know MP will cover; because they did for me when FedEx destroyed my guitar so bad that it turned around half way across the US. That sucked waiting, until they made good, and then some for me! Would I rather buy in a store? Still no. By far. In reference to new retail music store prices.
Also if you still think I work for MP then go to eBay and look up "Student Electric Guitar" for $58 guitars, to $80 (or less) with Humbucker. For the Strat or Tele styles (easy to make). Or funky "flame body" ones; that are all humbucker, if you please. I like the eBay head-stocks better than MP anyway.
But remember: Sellers with real no Q's return policies are the real deal. No motivated to have any flaws. And sometimes shippers just suck, and you have to start over. Today CNC builders, combined with Leo's easy to make Start and Tele type shapes have made errors very rare. It's not 1980. Thanks to great return policies.
There are many you tube reviews of these models. Beware strong bias views without proof. I'm saying an easy return policy proves a lot.
P.S. This is why I go long. Details, details. A buyer without details upfront is a seller. Buyers unite;' else this is no slick deal site.
