These don't work if you have an older soda stream like the fizzy. And it's only single layer and not vacuum.

Are the typical stainless steel thermo bottles airtight (keeps carbonation)? I never tried soda water in those

I know my older hydroflask bottle can hold carbonation over night. it was still cold and super fizzy.

These retain the carbonation and the cold. I once put soda in it to the very brim, and stuck it in the fridge. It stayed carbonated after a week still - though, less carbonated than when it started, but it wasn't completely flat.

One thing I dislike about it is that it's very hard to tell where the water level is. There's a line drawn on the outside, but since it's not clear, it's hard to tell if the water level inside is the right height or not. It meant that I sometimes under or over filled the bottle, and when I put it into the sodastream, it didn't carbonate it efficiently. Worst is when you overfill it, because then water will spill out of the top of the sodastream and drip all over the counter.

So, I highly recommend not using this to carbonate your drinks. And instead, use your usual clear plastic ones to carbonate it and then pour it into the stainless steel one.

Oh good to know! I already have too many bottles but never thought to try holding sparkling water. So nothing special about these if I don't use a soda stream
