They are worth the hype. Had the ninja. The vitamix does so much better on making smoothies that do not have chunks.

I got this through a previous Wellbots Deal and got a Stainless container separately to go with it.
Love it, better smoothies than I ever had with my ninja blender.
Bit of a learning curve, running at 10 (max speed) is better than a slow speed and make sure you follow the loading instructions to make blending easy.

The older ones are, not these with the self detect bs. Just anti consumer tech that will make this thing more expensive to maintain out of warranty. Seen many posts about the self detect system failing and if that happens it won't run at all. It's implemented to not allow thrid party jars but at the same time if your system has a fault it won't run if it can't detect, so everything else can be perfectly fine with that belender but it will self brick itself because of the self detect system. Get an older model that doesn't have that on it.

Anti consumer self detect system that will brick your blender if it fails even if everything else is fine with it. Lots of issues with it and even people coming up with work arounds to get it to work, but for me it's enough to never buy one, go with an older model without that. There really isn't much difference other than that.

I had a similar big warning pro model and cracked it when I put a whole frozen banana in it lol. I have a Vitamix 750 now and make sure to cut up the banana before freezing.

edit #2: Bought this Venturist Pro after the price at Woot dropped to $175. It arrived looking like a new machine. Impressed! Highly recommend if the deal returns. The decibels measured 85, same as the 7500. No high pitched noise like the Explorians I have used. Vitamix has the 48 oz 3" blade container which works with this on sale for $75. It does small batches well like the 32. At $175 I would choose it over the nosier 5200 or the Propel.

Great value but won't accept the 32 oz container which I use the most. EDIT: I just posted Oct 4 a lowest priced ever deal for the 32 oz container at QVC coupon and free shipping. $60 for those with Classic Legacy Next Gen and Explorian series.

I would buy a new bare authentic OEM container and move the blade assembly over, easy, unscrew from the bottom. Avoid aftermarket blades and containers no matter the savings . OEM blades are laser marked with d.o.m. and p/n
