are you referring to "Core 7" being released in 2024 vs older "Core i7"? that's just rebranding. this is basically 1st Gen i7.Cores/Threads: 10 cores (2 Performance + 8 Efficiency) / 12 threadsimho this is not a slick deal. if you think it is, all the power to you!

Instead of just comparing processors, it's better to compare the device as a whole. The one you got two years ago came with a 1080p 16:9 250-nits display, DDR4 RAM, and fewer ports. This comes with a better 1200p 16:10 300-nits display, faster LPDDR5 RAM, and an extra USB-C port. So, yes, while this might be the slickest of deals, it's still a very good deal, and if you have any better options for convertibles at this price or less currently, feel free to enlighten us.
