The only possible way these deals are offered is by being infinitely confusing, and often not being a deal in the first place. The throttling on this plan makes it nearly unusable, and you are locked into it for 3 years.

How are you locked in for 3 years? You're saying if you port out you'd get a bill? And it's not just for unlimited Welcome.

I don't see how you are locked in. Called Verizon you can end the line anytime and they just don't carry the discount over to any other line. So no loss.

Had to go my offers, as instructed, in the app to see the offer but I do have it.

Just not sure how to take advantage of it. Every time I get a "deal" with Verizon it requires 5 phone calls to get it sorted out.

Last time it got so bad someone in escalations finally just issued me a whole bunch of credit on my account cause they kept messing up over and over, lying to me telling me it's all fixed and fine when it wasn't. Keep receipts, ask for a text message every time you call in so there's a record of it.

I just added the line all online. And my next bill estimate already reflects the discount. After fees and taxes tho on unlimited welcome it's about $10/month. Still tho $180/year for 3 years is great value.

What is the fine print if you don't fulfill the 3yrs? Unless they just want to inflate their subscribers in the near term.

Were you able to get the $40 activation fee waived?

Assume they'll want their $40 activation (and even if you do the port-in yourself online)?

Gotta factor in the government fees/state fee/fcc fees and taxes (from all sides). $10 line becomes $14 to $18 per month dependent on your state.

The line is $5/month so it turned into $10/month after fees and taxes not $14-$18.
