Yeah it is. An equivalent M4 Macbook Air is ~$1500, and there really isn't $400 worth of difference between the M3 and M4 base chips.

Kaufboy has a point that the Costco sale was an excellent deal. If this laptop isn't a need for you right now then feel free to keep watching for the next hot deal closer to the $1,000 mark.

If this IS the laptop you've been looking for I personally would keep an eye on it and see if the Prime Big Deal Days (Oct 7-8) drop the price another 100-200 bucks. If not then you should still be able to get it at this price and know you made a solid purchase. I think you're in a win-win position.

Costco was selling an M3 15" MacBook Air with 32GB of RAM for $1000 less than a month ago

These recent MacBook sales are a joke

Where are all the M4 clear outs we saw literally May-August, every month had the Airs and Pros on sale

Now on Slickdeal all i see are non-Apple refurbs and deals for M3 and M2****** MacBooks when the M5 MacBooks have literally leaked and are due out in less than 6 months,

Unless Black Friday or something in btw that December materializes, looks like the move is to get an M4 when the M5 comes out.

M3 with only 24GB of RAM for $1100 in basically 2026 - come on now
