Edge of Tomorrow is such a fun movie with amazing replay value. Between that and Oblivion, they are two of the best sci Fi action movies that are so often overlooked.

If you buy a digital movie, you don't really own it. Buy physical media instead.

Digital movies you can save it locally in case the provider remove it from their catalog. You also have a risk with physical media. When you scratch the disk you're screwed as well.

No guarantee that manufactures will continue to produce the players or upgrade them. I do own a 4k / 3D player with many desirable features. If you buy, take your time in figuring out what's important to you.
No more new production 4k/3D TVs.

New projectors that can do 3D are available.

Which platform/service allows local copying/saving like that?

iTunes (though you'll still need to play the downloaded films through Apple software)

They've changed stuff around. iTunes is just used for transferring any downloads to an Apple device. Playback and transactions are done through the AppleTV app, which is on most platforms. There's also https://tv.apple.com from a web browser -- not sure of compatibility/limitations, though.

say what you want about TC, but his movies are great watch. I guess A listers are there for a reason.

I would agree, you're better off doing this. These digital versions are inferior to disc quality especially on the audio side!On that end, EOT didn't get a very good transfer unfortunately. So if you have the BR version & a good player, it may not be worth upgrading imo. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Ed...ay/315413/
