For reference, right now apple care is $60 at aafes for 2 years. Apple is offering $30/year, so basically same price.

Not the poster, but I don't love the case. It's basically a holder for the earcups. I bought a tougher case for about $15 for travel and put the airpods in that. Good sound quality, battery life, and ease of use though.
