Isn't that just going to be a heavy duty cleaner by using a solvent? If this is a polish, it should add a layer of protection and shine, something a cleaner can not do. I wouldn't think you'd want to use that on a guitars finish, although I think I've heard of people using it on frets, or maybe fret boards too?

my guitars all have poly (unfortunately). they don't really need protection from anything. i believe the only thing that will survive nuclear war are cockroaches, twinkies and fender poly coating (unless, of course, you drop it just the wrong way).
