I got the alert just 8 hours after this was posted. Don't want this specific case as I think the 4000D Airflow case is superior.

What is different between 4000D and 4000D RS?

Liked Corsair cases until they put all the jacks and buttons near the floor. Pretty much a deal breaker for people who put the case on the floor.

4000D Airflow https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/p...9011200-ww
4000D Frame (just because Corsair loves confusing you) https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/p...9011290-ww
4000D RS Frame https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/p...9011312-ww

The biggest difference is the "Frame" series allows more fans and more/larger radiators, which if all you use a 360 AIO for a CPU it isn't a huge deal. I have the Airflow, and while I'd like to have more options for fans, as mentioned above I like having all my plugs and power on top of the case.

That said, Amazon also had the 6500D airflow (a wider version that allows for putting the PSU and everything in a side area) for about $80 with a coupon, that coupon has since expired, but Prime Day is approaching if you really are hot on a case keep an eye out. IMO, there are too many good options out there to force yourself to be brand loyal to a particular case.

Hmmm, the Frame 4000D RS has modular internal configurations and a tad cooler temps. The appearance is subjective but I don't think the 4000D is the superior one here as @imnobody claims.

Superior IMO due to the top dust filter included with the 4000D Airflow model. The 4000D Frame variants like RS do not include or support a top dust filter with no plans to sell a top dust filter accessory (you would have to make your own, the 4000D Airflow top dust filter does not fit). The top dust filter does make a difference which is why people have been asking for one for the 4000D Frame models. My priority for a case is decent temperatures and good dust filtration.

I responded to your question in the post above this one (check thread). The Be Quiet! Pure Base 501 DX is my top case pick among newer cases out currently (among the best for dust filtration, decent cooling). One con for the 501 DX is the lack of rubber grommets (cable guidance can be more annoying), still looking for my perfect next case, the 4000D Airflow likely is best to build in and offers fairly good dust protection. I also like the cable bar they use to handle routing cables. Phanteks Eclipse G400A is worth looking at also.

I exhaust through the top of my 4000d airflow... but for me the top buttons/ports makes it a win over the frame model
