FAQ's:
- No, you cannot use Staples GC's to purchase these.
- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.
- No, you cannot use coupons/ rewards to purchase these GC's.
- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV
- The limit of 9 may or may not be enforced depending on your store/ cashier. YMMV
- Why is this a deal? Some members have CC's that earn 5% CB at office supply stores (INK and Amex Simply Cash). Others need to meet minimum CC spend.
- What if my store doesn't accept payment with a CC? Your store likely has had issues with fraud and it is managers discretion on what payment they will accept.
- Other chase cards may have special offers for Staples ($ limited). Check your chase account under chase offers.

Last chance to use chase ink card at 5% and transfer to reserve 7.5%. It may be too late already.

I assume Reserve part that the point can be used 1.5x in Chase travel, not earning 5% with Ink.

What's the point of buying these with cash (or CC) only to withdraw cash again? Trying to launder CC money into cash or trying to profit 5% or something cashback on these? I feel it is just unnecessary hassle for just $200 cash. These cards are meant to be for those who do not have CC so they can use them for online purchases.

Realistically, virtually no one in this thread is buying these with cash. It is for people with office store category spend where they can get 5% then convert to travel or other points. Even if you don't have a method to convert these cards to cash, it is nice to be able to use them at stores where you would not earn 5%. 5% of $1800 of spend per day per store can add up to a lot of points.

Anyone trying to "launder" CC money to cash probably doesn't care if the card has a fee waived.
