The G series replaced the E series as their budget line. But the Gs are better equipped, e.g., Power and Stylus models. I for one am grateful for the availability of <$100 phone options.

* Showing OOS/limited stock in my area and $79 with $30 off with in-store activation of $40 or higher plan.

It should as long as 60 days or more of service have been paid for with the #/sim used to activate the phone. Tracfone/Total/StraightTalk will auto unlock on day 60 give or take a day. Sometimes it requires a nudge of inserting an uncompatible sim to force the phone to make an unlock server request. Just had one unlocked today on day 59 with TFW using the 90 day $19.99 plan for new activation.

Sidenote. Used my target membership when purchasing the phone posted in this deal and received 2 separate offers from target with it 3 months free Apple Music and 2 months free Apple TV via email.

Motorola phones are shovelware now. The only way they can make money is by cranking out very cheap models as often as possible with no support for the previous models. (Maybe except for moto razr)

Was at Target and checked on this, was marked $25. Grabbed one.

Edit: My mistake - It is the regular Moto G, not the Moto G Power.

Same here. My closest store had 5. Now to see if I can unlock it sooner.

From what I've found online, AT&T prepaid is unlocked with the use of an on-device Unlock app, and there is not a way around 6 months of service requirement at least for Motorola phones.

Is it possible to activating and unlocking it without opening the package ? I want to get it unlocked but want it intact in the box so it doesn't look used.
