Yet to receive tracking info for the phone ordered 10/13 but could see IMEI in the account and got a new number.

As you're aware, ending in a "V" makes it unusable on the AT&T network. It still "might" work but there are already A36 models (not ending in a "V") that are whitelisted on the AT&T network as per AT&T and has better chances of working.
So if Total Wireless always sells models ending in a "V" and they have that invasive ID Check step, there must be a lot of Verizon and T-Mo users on slickdeals to make these Total Wireless deals so popular
